10/31/2006 Dear diaryI'm sorry for not blogging yesterday. It was Sunday
and I didn't feel the need to blog about it.
Alright, quite a bit going on today, first of all,
I wanna say a grosly oversized THANKYOU with a warm sugar donut on
top to Dave for putting up with my biology-related ranting last night. I
stayed up 'til like half three.
Alright so today, I slept in and went in at break
to do my biology NAB. It was actually enjoyable, because I knew it all so well.
Finished in like 15 minutes, and you get an hour. Hooray for studying! Alright,
NOW you can call me a sad geek with no social life. =] I don't mind.
Rest of biology was a bit of a boring. Oh! And
I'm approached by my little 1st year buddy and she wants me to meet her in the
library at lunch to do her science homework, but I accidentally forgot to meet
her. Oops! It's not that I don't like her, I just can't be bothered with
science.
After lunch, went to English to find out I failed
the essay writing. Which I think ain't fair because I didn't get any notice. And
I only failed by half a mark, I'd better be allowed a resit! I think I am..
Anyway, skipping the boring parts - Lordi! Alright
so I went with David, Josh and William, in David's mother's car. GEE was that
cozy. A bit squished up against these men. But I like a bit of kinky squishing
now and again. And so do they... They just won't admit it! We hit traffic and
didn't get there 'til like 7. And then waiting for 10-15 minutes in the queue in
the POURING rain. Like not even normal rain. Like rain that falls with a force
greater than gravity. Yuck. We got in, and mr feel-you-up refuses to feel me up,
because I am female. Hmph.
So we get in and the support band was called
something-I-can't-remember, and they were folk-metal. Yes metal mixed with folk.
Like hardcore drums and guitars, then an accordian comes in and starts with all
this Celtic music. Weird, but very eclectic! I liked them! Although they were
rather scary in appearance, with blood on them and all that jazz. But they
had a hotty in Scotland flag boxers. Mm.. So after getting more beer, Lordi came
on, all with their scary masks and halloween-type clothing and scared the shit
out of me with red glaring eyes and fireworks.
Alright so I think they were quite good, although I
knew less than 4 of their songs. And I don't really know what else happened.
Josh's Dad took us home. And now I feel ill.
10/28/2006 Grandparent-sittingI was much confused as I didn't sleep 'til after I
heard Dad getting up to go to work. I think that was at like 6am. I then had a
nice sleep 'til around 8, when my mother decided that then was the perfect time
to hoover the hall. Urg. So that was me up. I got up, got dressed, ate pancakes,
and fell asleep. I woke up with the grandparents coming round.
I was supposed to be cousin-sitting. But apparently
now I'm grandparent-sitting. This is all because my parents are away out for a
"night out" and we apparently need childminding. And its the grandparents job.
But I think it's me looking after them, because they can't even work the TV for
God's sake!
So I have done no work today, and yes, I feel
terribly guilty. But what the heck. I'll work tomorrow.
Promise. 10/27/2006 And this is todayToday was a good day, okay so I woke up feeling
very ill and totally unable to raise myself out of bed to get to school. Heh..
Okay so I didn't sleep 'til after 4am and I do have a cough.
So I got up at 9ish and did some maths, some
tidying and some biology. It beats being at school. I've been researching. It's
not illegal to just stay off school, the legal requirement is for you to "be
educated," and one, I'm perfectrly educated staying at home and popping into
school once in a blue moon to sit a NAB or ask a question and two, this law
might not even apply to me seeing as I'm beyond school leaving age. So I'm
thinking I'll be making less of an appearance at that poisonous hole known as
"school."
I was just looking for my glasss,
and I thought I felt them in my hair, and there is a comb sticking out of my
hair, how long has that bloody been there? ~ Joe
That man cracks me up.
Anyway, I have been contemplating
university. And I appear to be getting myself awful much confused with it
all. The main confusion being, I don't know what I want to study. And there's
not a lot of point going to uni and studying something I don't really want to be
studying. So I don't know, I guess I'll give it a think. Help?
So this is yesterdayWe're doing a tad time-travelling. Because I
didn't post yesterdays blog because Outlook crashed and then I just didn't get
round to getting it back up. So here goes yesterday..
.. I'm still annoyed at school. Starting with
Chemistry, Mr J is bugging me, because instead of letting us revise for this NAB
he insists I sit (tomorrow), he wants to move onto a completely different topic,
is this MEANT to confused us? But we did persuade him to go over some stuff,
which I think only further confused us. Ha.
Then I goes into Biology after break and my
teacher, Miss W, hands me the NAB and informs me I shall be doing it. I put my
foot down and refuse. So she says I will be doing it second period (it was a
double) and still I say no. There's no way I'm putting up with everyone else
getting more than a week's notice, and me getting less than an hour. That's not
fair. I specifically asked her before I went on holiday if I would be returning
to a big smelly NAB, and she assured me I wouldn't. So for her to waft the
smelly object in my face and demand I do it, is not on. I got away with it. She
says I can do it tomorrow.
Then I walked home in the pouring rain,
contemplated staying there and going into some form of hibernation, but then
remembered I have a maths NAB. So I swam back to school. And the maths NAB
appeared. But first, we got results from yesterdays NAB. I passed. All four
outcomes. Woo HOO! And I only lost three marks because my graph was wandering
off in the wrong direction, and because I mistook a tangent for a straight line
and did God knows what to it.
The NAB today, was good, it was pretty much the
same as yesterday's, so I'm hoping I pass that too. Then after the relief of
maths Nabbing being over, Ms L tells us that they were only C-level NABS, so
passing that only gives us a C. The A/B exam is next Thursday. So
great.
I went home and had a think (and a rant to my
mother) about the unfairness of me having a biology NAB at one day's notice,
along with a Chemistry NAB, at two days notice. So she suggested I be ill
tomorrow, and that gives me three days to study for the NABS, and I will be fine
and prepared by Monday and I can sit them all on Monday. Good plan
Mummy.
Oh, and I have a throat infection and a sleeping
disorder according to my excessively hairy doctor. So there, I do actually have
an excuse to be off tomorrow. Doc asks "have you had anything stressful going on
at school recently?" And I'm like "OH GOD YES!" So I gotta go back in a few
weeks and he may put me on anti-depressants :| 10/25/2006 School again? And so it's school again, and I'm walking happily
(well, not so happily, I have maths first on a Wednesday) into registration this
morning, when I'm asked, "are you nervous," so I'm confused. Then I find out 7.6
minutes beforehand that I have a maths test. Oh joy. And noone thought to tell
me. Not even the teacher, with whom I spent a good 20 minutes with (not out of
choice though I must admit) on Tuesday. Why in the name of Pythagoras didn't she
inform me of this!?
Ack. So I think I did okay, actually, after all my
ranting. I messed up quite a lot of the second half of it, but I quite possibly
scraped a C. And I'm informed that that's all you need to "pass". Then again, I
have another NAB tomorrow, and if I do better in the one tomorrow, that shall be
my mark. So I've revised. Noone can say I haven't tried.
Computing was a bit of a drag as well, as I'm ahead
of the class, I get punished by being made to do programming. Which is utterly
stupid. I hate programming, I can't do it. I'd rather just read the book, do
past papers, or sleep. What is wrong with the school system, if you're ahead,
you get punished? Yes because that gives kids a great incentive to work as
efficiantly as they can. Seriously..
English on the other hand was actually rather good.
We appear to have dispensed with the Wuthering Heights rubbish and are now onto
"textual analysis" which is listening to Mrs S, who likes the sound of her own
voice, while writing down notes and drawing giant nostrils. It's really quite
fun. I keep meaning to ask her when my close reading NAB is, but I'm being
careful about when I ask her, or she will end up coming out with something like,
"oh, here it is, do it now," which would upset me.
Chemistry was stupid, we have this NAB on Friday
(that I might be able to get out of, due to the sheer softness of Mr J) and
instead of making sure we know our stuff for the NAB, he's intruducing an
entirely new unit. Which somehow appears to be the second half of standard
grade. He did however, go over calculations with me, and I think I might be
understanding them now. But I don't want to do this NAB on Friday if I can
possibly help it. So I didn't leave chemistry 'til after 1pm, so I walked home
slowly, persuading myself to stay off for the afternoon and prepare for
maths.
So I did, and I worked a lot! Before the internet
jumped up and distracted me. I'm proud of myself though. I think I might be
organised. Oh yea.. 10/24/2006 SchoolI went back to school today. Big mistake I think.
First was computing, and that was good because somehow, after missing a week and
a half of work, I have managed to be way ahead of the class. How that works I
have no idea. But it means I can just sit and look out the window at the
not-so-sexy workmen. Plus, its conspiracy Tuesday, which means Mr Q comes up
with this far-fetched conspiracy and we spend the period arguing about it. So we
do no work anyway.
Chemistry, now I was really hoping that Mr J would
get his skinny little ass to school today, because I'm very far behind and I
need help. But noooo, he chooses today out of the 200-odd school days, he
chooses today to be absent. He better have a good reason for it, I shall be
questioning his "unauthorised absence" when I next see him, which shall be
tomorrow, or I will track him down and stalk him. Oh yea. (I'm joking by the
way, don't go suing me.)
At break, I went to see Miss L, for maths help, and
she inquired as to what I was stuck on, I gave her my list of page references
and she goes, "oh, well I'll take it away and have a little look." Err, 'cause
that helps. I apparently have a maths NAB on Thursday, and I'm no where near
going to be ready for it. I would actually probably be better off spending this
week revising and catching up rather than wasting time at school. Seriously.
Home-school me for Christ's sake.
Maths with Mrs McC, wasn't all that bad, small
incident where I turned lesbian and started doing Nicole. Yup, in the middle of
maths class. It went wrong as well, apparently I was doing the wrong bit, which
is rather worrying on my part AND hers. o_O But apart from that, we did not a
lot of work, and a lot of idle chat as usual. That class is made for skiving
y'know.
PSE was the same old, except we got report cards,
and apparently my strongest subject is maths. And my weakest is biology. Now how
they came to that conclusion I do not know, but it peed me off. Alot. I've
always got great marks in biology, with not much effort mind you, but great
marks nonetheless.
And then I happily go home for lunch, come back, go
to English and I'm faced with "you have a NAB." Now let me explain. This NAB,
people have known about since sometime during my Florida holiday, and they have
received an essay question, done an essay on it, handed it in and got it back
marked. And then had the whole October week to memorise it for this NAB. I, on
the other hand, get no time to write/plan/hand in/memorise anything. Which I
think is most unfair. Now I know it's not the teacher's fault that I was away
sunning myself, but to give me less than an hour's notice for a NAB which needs
to be passed when everyone else clearly has an advantage, is downright unfair.
She could have given me the essay, I could have done it for tomorrow, handed it
in, got it back and do the NAB on Thursday. What's so wrong with that? I'm
actually outraged.
So yes, I'm annoyed at the school system in general
today. Noone is organised, noone cares to deal with individuals. It's just "get
the results in ASAP." And that bugs me. If I fail English because of this, I
swear I will kick up a stink. 10/23/2006 It's not technically skivingIt's just
avoiding-school-because-you-haven't-done-the-homework. :]
Okay and because I stayed up all night, thinking
I'd be fine and I'd go to school and have all the work done. But that didn't
really work out. One, I have more work than I thought and two, I was so tired by
8am that I just HAD to sleep. Well and three I couldn't be arsed.
Heh.
So what have I done all day? Well I have been
working actually, which has been pretty boring. I gotta say thanks to people for
staying up with me and helping me. I suppose I'd better be going to school
tomorrow though.
Quote of the day - my little brother - "I could
easily get her in my pants and do you-know-what" 10/22/2006 I'm in another dimensionOkay so first off, I apologise for the lack of blogging since I got back. I'm very confused as to what the hell time zone I'm meant to be in. I can't sleep 'til it's time to get up, and don't get up 'til teatime. It's all very muddling. And not that I've been doing a great deal since I got back anyway, just unpacking and stuff, the usual post-holiday stuffs.
Oh, and then there's the small fact that I have like a mountain of maths, followed by a river of chemistry, not forgetting that small stream of english. I can't help being tempted to just should "fuck it" and accidentally set it on fire or something. Who does homework these days anyway?
Why is it that rabbits will happily chew off wallpaper, but refuse to eat jotters?
Ack I'm talking shite, as usual. I want him to talk to me, him to apologise and him to sing again. :]
I let go of something tonight that I've held onto for so long. It hurts. But I know I've done the right thing as it wasn't meant to be. Things have changed. Just let the tears wash away the memories... 10/20/2006 Florida Part 2Friday 13th October 2006 My parents went out for breakfast at the Polynesian resort and I got left on my own to do homework. =[ I’m attempting maths, but I don’t have a clue really. This is shite. And I had to have a shower this morning, so my autographs kind of washed off my arm. =[ The parents returned late afternoon and they went off for a swim while I got…. INTERNETTTTTT! Wooo! I’ve missed cyberspace. After a small MSN, we headed out to Epcot on the bus to have dinner at Le Cellier in Canada. It was a lovely meal, but the best thing - the cheese soup. Oh, and the cheese mashed potatoes. Heh. I like cheese. We were gonna go on Test Track, but it was broke =[ So instead we waited 45 minutes for Soarin’. A looooong wait, but I think it’s worth it because it’s such an amazing ride. We were all prepared to wait another long time for Mission Space, but it was a walk-on. Methinks it’s cause that dude died on it, noone wants to ride it anymore. We were going to do Spaceship Earth, but were too sleepy, so we bussed it back, had hot chocolate and then bed.
Saturday 14th October 2006 We had a quick hotel breakfast today, and then went to Epcot for 9 to check-in for the Segway tour. Who knows what a Segway is? Noone? Well it’s hard to explain. It’s two wheels and a handlebar and is controlled by your balance. I’ll post a pic. Remind me someone. At the check-in we met Sharon and Tony, and Tony was doing the Segway and he was a good laugh. Mum and Ben went off with Sharon to do a tour of the Disney greenhouses and off we went to do Segway. The Segways were AMAZING! Quite hard to get the hang of, but really cool once you get going. The hard thing was, we had a speed limitor of 5mph and when it gets to 5, it pushes back to slow you down which makes you want to push forward and argh its hard. I didn’t crash into anyone, but Dad ended up in a bush, and another girl drove into both a bin and a flowerpot. After Segways we were planning to preview the new Nemo ride, as it opened today for AP holders. But it was broke! On the first preview. Not a good sign. So we went out of the park and went to Seaworld as there was a “Dibb Meet” which is a bunch of nutters that Mum knows off the internet. Seaworld was really busy and we took a while to get to the meeting place. I thought this meet thing would be crap, but I met a few girls who were 12/13 and hung about with them. We went and fed the dolphins, saw the sharks, rays and reefs while the adults took advantage of the free beer. Then we went trick or treating round the park and then won some toys in the arcade. Fun I think. The park shut at 6pm and we actually got kicked out at 6.30. Ha. We got pizza on the way home, Dad forgot how American gas stations (oops, petrol stations for the Brits) work and that was hilarious. We pizza’d then went to bed.
Sunday 15th October 2006 We did have a small lie-in this morning due to the 2am bed last night, 8am we got to sleep ‘til. Mum was in the pool early, but I decided to sleep more. Heh. I’m lazy mmkay? Shopping today! We went to Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores and OMG was there some amazing sales. Well okay for a start, the exchange rate makes everything uber cheap. I got loads, t-shirts, jeans and shoes. Example - the Converse shop, I don’t really like Converse, but at home they’re like £30+ and here they were like $10 which is like £5. WOW! How can I not get them? After shopping we went to Chillis for lunch and had that blosson onion thing which was lovely. And then had some kind of chicken thing. Was also good. We went straight to Magic Kingdom after that and Monorailed to Epcot to get the LAST of the pennies from there, and we got to ride the new Nemo ride. It’s pretty boring. Oh, got to ride Test Track too, walk-on single rider! And then we saw… THE BEACH BOYS! They were amazing! Really amazing! After that it was about 9, so we caught the monorail back to MK and did this amazing feat of seeing three lots of fireworks while travelling. Illuminations, Spectromagic and Wishes. It was really amazing! After Wishes, MK shuts, but we had EMH’s so we were heading in as everyone else was heading out, so we got the ferry to ourselves. That was nice. MK was quite due to MH’s (magic hours) so we went a wander and Mum and I rode Space Mountain while the boys did Buzz, then we met back up and Ben was sleepy so Mum and I rode Snow White and the Carosel while the boys watched. We were tired out by then, so we saw Philharmagic and then headed.
Monday 16th October 2006 I was hyper about today - Busche Gardens! We were up early and set off, and on the way, Dad discovered cruise control and he fell asleep. K We stopped at IHOP for breakfast and 8 cups of coffee and then carried on to Busche. It seemed really busy at the gates but I don’t think it actually WAS that busy. First ride I went on was SheiKra of course, and I met a nice guy who I sat beside and I touched his penis. This time it was his fault though mmkay? Lol. After that I rode Monto and Kumba, the other to “big” coasters there. And then we watched this weird pirates show that was 3D and soaked you with water. Hmph. Oh, we also watched this scary show with giant frogs which I think were freaky. Then we decided to go on the train ride. We discovered upon reaching the station that we’d just missed a train, so we thought we’d wait the 45 minutes for another one seeing as Ben really wanted to ride. So we were first in the queue when the train finaly came. Rant ahead people, Ben got put on the train and we had to wait to load all the other wheelchairs, and then the attendant comes out with “oh, look, there’s no seats left in the disabled carriage”, this was because a load of teenagers had hired a wheelchair and there was two sitting in the chair and 11 sitting with them. So Dad and I had to find another carriage. But of course by this time the train was full. So we could either “squeeze in with another person and sit separately” or get off. So we got off. We rode the little sarafi thing after that. It’s fun! You go in a car, well a jeep-type-thing. And then you float off down the river. :O It’s well fun! After that we were pretty pissed off with the attitudes of the attandants so we had lunch and left. It’s definetly not Disney there. Noone actually gives a shit about you once they’ve got your admission. After the boring drive home, we got back to the hotel and the parents went out to Boardwalk to collect pennies and be teased by DVC. They brought me chips back though =] Tuesday 17th October 2006 ‘Tis Mummy’s birthday today. So we were up early and went in the car to the Ticket and Transportation Centre (Magic Kingdom’s parking lot) and got the monorail to the Contemporary resort for breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. We told the attendants it was Mum’s birthday and the characters and staff came and sang happy birthday to her and she got a little cake with a candle! After that we took the monorail to Magic Kingdom and I made Dad go up the treehouse. Heh. Then we did the Jungle Cruise, pretty funny as usual. Ooh ooh then the most exciting part! Okay there’s a thing om at Disney called “A million dreams” and it’s where they give out a million things that money can’t buy. Like the park to yourself for a day, or stay a night in Cinderella’s castle and they also give away limited edition things that can’t be bought. So we’re siting on this cruise and prize patrol approach us with Million Dreams ears. I’ll post a pic. I’d rather have had the park for a day, but getting one of the million dreams is awesome! After that excitement we went to the Grand Floridian on the monorail and Mum and I got to ride up front! With the driver! It was awesome too! And every cast member we met was like “Oh, congrats on getting a dream!” We got to the Grand Floridian and weren’t really ready for lunch, so we had deserts. I had chocolate fondue which is the best in the world. It’s melted chocolate orange. Mmm…. And we decided if we win the lottery we’re staying at the GF because it’s soooooo lovely and pretty. We told people there that it was Mum’s birthday so they also sang and she got another cake. Woo! She also got a tiara that says Happy Birthday. On the way back to the TTC, we got to ride up front again! That was amazing also! We went back to the hotel to get into these hideous Halloween costumes and then went on the bus to MK. I felt like a tit with horns, a tail and big wings but everyone I met thought I looked amazing. We met Joh, Gary, Ria and Sian at Magic Kingdom and I wrote postcards (all three of them) while they finished their dinner. Then we went and had photos taken in Main Street. Then we started on the trick or treating! It was amazing! Sooooooo much candy! After almost filling our bags we went to watch Hallowishes, the fireworks, which was amazing! We rode a few rides after that - Big Thunder, Splash and Space mountains, then we watched the parade, Boo To You, it was pretty random. Then we got moooore candy! And then left the park at like 12. Woo! I’m sleepy. And tomorrow is oure last full day. Nooooooooooooo……… Wednesday 18th October 2006 We had a small lie in this morning ‘til 9 and then packed a bit but weren’t very successful with the packing thing. We had toast for breakfast as we discovered that the food court has a toaster. Woo. We drove to MGM after breaky and did the Great Movie Ride (again) and it was quite boring (again.) After that we had lunch at the Sci-Fi, probably one of my favourite restaurants in Disney. Know the drive in theatres that were around in the 50’s? Well its like that. You sit in a car. I had salad, me being healthy and all that. Oooh and cheesecake. Okay so that wasn’t in tune with the whole healthy thing. Was good though. We went and watched Beauty and the Beast after lunch which was disappointing as all the actors and singers were very obviously miming. And all the guys were gay with small penises. How do I know that? Well tight lycra hides nothing ;) Little Mermaid was next, seeing as it was 97 degrees and apparently that’s too hot for the parents. I think it’s lovely, parents think I must have been a camel in a past life. Little mermaid was okay, I like it because I know all the songs. And she was half-miming. So that wasn’t so bad. I wanted to go on ToT but parents were dying of heat so we ended up seeing Indiana Jones stunt show. Oh so fake. I hate gun fights and all that macho man crap. We were planning on going to Animal Kingdom, but couldn’t really be arsed so we went to Downtown Disney for a wander. And of course Dad had to collect pressed pennies. And we decided to attempt to get him into pin collecting. As they’re actually worth money. But he was having none of it. But we met a guy who’s spent over $60,000 on pins. OHMEGEE! We had dinner at Earl of Sandwhich, lovely as usual. And then we did a bit of shopping and wandering around before going back to the hotel to pack. I can’t be arsed packing so I’m hiding under the bedcovers with the laptop. I hate packing. I don’t wanna go home. Mum’s manic packing though. We fly at 3pm tomorrow but we gotta be there 3 hours before, so that’s 12, and it takes us 1hr 45 mins to get to the airport so that’s half 10 we gotta leave at. Ack. See you in another dimension. Or at least, another time zone =] Thursday 19th October Don’t wanna go home, I hate getting out of bed and I hate it more when I’m getting out of bed to go home. =[ We had breakfast at the food court and the parents took care of manic packing. I think we left at like 10.30 and I kind of accidentally fell asleep in the car. I’m blogging at the airport in the departure lounge and its very boring. ------------------------------------------ Okay so we’re now on the plane, and I have no idea what time it is. America says 7, UK says 12. Meh. I’m again bored, and my arse hurts. Ooh, I watched a good film just now called Shadows of the Sun, it was quite a good film but I’m bored now. And we flew along the coast of America and it was quite pretty with all the lights, but now we’re over sea and its pretty… Well… Black. 10/13/2006 Florida Part 1Thursday 5th October 2006 Oh man I was so tired this morning. I went to bed last night at around 3 and woke up again at around 3.30. Wow lots of sleep. I’m suffering for it now, seeing as I never slept the night before either due to doing that English essay that I didn’t even have to do. >_< So anyway, we were out the house by 5 and at the airport for 6 with the car all done and checked in. Pretty good. We went for breakfast and found out our flight was delayed 45 minutes. So we went through security. I was the only one that got felt up. =] I’m proud of that fact, I beeped. =] After discovering that I did actually forget to pack my bomb down my cleavage, we headed to duty free, which was pointless really because you’re not allowed perfume or anything on the plane, so buying it is pointless as it’s taken off you. We boarded at about 10.20 and finally took off at 11.30. A long time sitting on the plane. But the plane was lovely! It was way better than the last flight. (For the travel geeks out there - last time we flew Globespan, and although there was nothing wrong with it, it was kind of no frills and pretty basic, no TV, no free food or anything. This time we’re with First Choice. Hmm let’s compare, this flight has big comfy leather seats, a seatback TV with remote control/games controller, you get free food, two meals. Oh! And the best part - the hot guy sitting next to me. I never did find out his name, but he was studying directing, and was touring America on his own for eight weeks. He was lovely. Tall, dark and handsome. I just wanted to eat him. We both hate flying, so we sat and were scared together =] And I ate his grapes. =] There was like 10 movies, 10 channels and 10 games, but you can pick and chose when you watch them, so I watched the Da Vinci Code. It’s quite good, then played games and watched the kids channels and listened to the radio. Dinner was good, as was the snack. And we got popcorn too. I managed to not pee for more than 10 hours. We landed at 3.30pm US time, and security wasn’t scary at all, and we got luggage, said bye to the hott guy, and went to get the car. We have a red Chrysler Town & Country if that means anything to anyone. It’s an okay car, no DVD player though! What’s up with that!? I suppose we can watch movies on the laptop though. I’m typing this as we’re driving to the hotel. It’s a really long boring road. So it’s boring. I’m so sleep deprived it’s unbelievable, I need sleep. My head hurts through dehydration and fatigue. It’s not too hot, it’s about 88 F. I don’t think we’re doing anything tonight, just getting into the hotel and getting something to eat and sleeping! Guess what I forgot? Addresses for postcards. So sorry if you don’t get one, means I don’t know your address off by heart. ------------------------------------------------------- Well we got to the hotel okay, and found our rooms. Yup, we have two rooms thank God, I get a bed to myself =] The hotel is pretty nice, but its quite complicated to find the rooms and stuff, ‘cause its biiiiig! We got food from the food court and then went back to our room and ate and fell asleep! Friday 6th October 2006 I slept like a baby last night, I was sooo tired! But this morning I was still sleepy, so we went to Perkins for breakfast and drank like 5 cups of coffee. Was then hyper! So we were at Universal today, we were meant to be shopping but there’s sales on tomorrow so we thought we’d leave shopping ‘til tomorrow. Universal was incredibly quiet! Like literally empty! It was amazing… We went a wander… And found that Back To The Future is still open!!! It’s meant to be shut for refub into a Harry Potter ride, so I persuaded Dad to ride, he loved it, as I thought. It’s not closing for another month yet. W00p. Next we went on MIB, Ben’s favourite ride, and we had a contest, us against the parents. We won of course, seeing as we know the bonuses. We then did Earthquake and I persuaded Mum to go on The Mummy on the way to Twister! She LOVED it also! Woooo I’m getting my parents into rides! It’s probably the scariest ride I’ve got her on, but she loved it, so who knows - Hulk next? After Twister we did Jimmy Neutron, which I like for the simple fact of the Llamas. And after coming off that, we met Spongebob! Woooo I love Spongebob! He’s so random and really quite freaky up close. I mean who thought him up? Someone on crack obviously! We went to the shop, and all bought identical Horror Night t-shirts. I’ve always wanted to be one of those cheesy matching families. Wow we’re cool. ^o) We headed back to the hotel after getting t-shirts, via some supermarket for munchies. We had a little munch and then headed back out to Epcot on the bus. We went to the World Showcase as we were going to see Starship, some band from the 70’s that my parents like. But we got sidetracked as usual. The Epcot food & wine festical is on and it has loads of countries and you get to taste a food and a drink from each. France had the best booze. Heh.. Grand Marnier Slush… Mmm.. I could well get drunk on that!!! And then France also had chocolate crepes so we couldn’t really say no to that!!! By the time we got round to where Starship was playing, they were almost finished so we went for chicken and chips while waiting for the next showing. The show was pretty great! The guy is like 65 and he’s still got a great voice! Surprisingly, I know this bands songs, I’ve just never heard of the band. Haha. Right after our little boogie it was Illuminations, the fireworks show, so we sat and watched that before wandering out of the park. We’re now back at the hotel. I’m not allowed internet tonight. Maybe tomorrow you guys will get to read this.. Short note - Thankyou Dave for the prezzies! Especially the Cds as we’re going to see PWT’s and my parents don’t know any of their songs, so I’ve been playing the Cds on the laptop all the time we’ve been in the hotel room. I’m missing you tonnes by the way! Saturday 7th October 2006 Okay so the parents thought it would be a good idea to go to this buffet place for breakfast - Golden Corral. It’s horrible. I’m gonna rant about this mmkay? Right so in this place, there’s like all this random food, and then there’s the fat people. Like EVERYONE was fat. And I’m scared of fat people at the best of times, but a lot of fat people all in the same place eating everything in sight is just terrifying. I think there must come a point in the life of a fat person where they just stop caring WHAT they’re eating, and they just eat. I mean seriously, who in their rightful healthy mind would eat a combination of Brussels sprouts, jelly, cheerio’s and whipped cream? So I just had a few coffees. Yes, I paid $6.99 for three cups of coffee, because I felt so ill after seeing the fatties shovelling food. Urgh. It makes me sick. SICK SICK SICK. I don’t think I could be an American, I couldn’t possibly eat like that. Plus I get weird looks because I’m not fat and I’m not filling a plate with a mountain of miscellaneous crap. I had one slice of pizza, pizza yes for breakfast. Weird. After that, we headed to the premium outlets for shopping. Shops were good, and there’s this Columbus day on here. No idea what that is but it means sales. So I’m happy. There was some great bargains to be had - but why oh why do they have nothing in my size? In fact, what size am I in this overindulged FAT country? I’m probably off the scale because I’m not fat enough. I wanted jeans. The parents and Ben got lots of stuff though. And we got fudge… Mmmm… Aww! Wait! Fudgey?! Are you missing me? I miss my Fudge Wudge! Anyway, after that we went back to the hotel, and then went back out on the bus to Magic Kingdom. We watched the end of the parade, then went to Cosmic Rays for burgers while the fireworks were on. We went back out, went a wander through hugeness crowds and then watched the parade. We headed out after that because I’m feeling ill. I don’t know why I’m feeling sick, but I am. I’m blaming the cold pizza from the fat people place. Sunday 8th October 2006 Oooh so we were up early today! Well 7am. We had to get up early to get the bus to breakfast. We were going to Boma, which is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, so we went via Animal Kingdom. It took quite a while at that time in the morning seeing as there’s not a lot of buses around. But we got there. The breakfast is a buffet, and knowing how I don’t like buffets…. Actually, it was rather good. =] After breakfast we got the bus to Animal Kingdom and went straight away to get fast passes for Everest. Wait was 50 minutes and we weren’t waiting in that!! We went and watched the Flights Of Wonder show which is birds and stuff. Like parrots that look like Jimmy ;] And a big mad eagle thing which was rather scary. After that we went on the Safari, it was a 30 minute wait but it wasn’t too bad, the safari was good as always and the driver was hilarious, he was singing. We got ice cream after that and went trapsing round looking for those bloody pressed penny machines. Really pissing me of, actually. It states on the machines, “Pick your personal favourite”, but no, we have to find every single machine and pick his 40,000 personal fucking favourites! >_< Oh, and we came to a conclusion, know how Disney cast members HAVE to be cheery? Well we’re thinking that after a shift, they go into a padded room and scream swear words. Haha. Well they’ve got to let out the anger of having to smile all day somehow! We left Animal Kingdom at about 4pm to go to Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge for dinner. This is possibly one of the most random places to dine. First off, if you ask for ketchup, you get three crates full of ketchup, and then if someone else wants ketchup, that table has to cart all that ketchup over to the table who wants it. It’s HILARIOUS!!! Mum and Dad had this Skillet thing, which is basically all you can eat of meat. Really piggy. Ben and I ate pasta, which was nice. And we filled ourselves up with refillable milkshakes. Mmmm.. We boated to Fort Wilderness campsite to get more effing pennies, but discovered that to get all the pennies, we would have to go tramping through the forest, and by this time it was dark. No way. So we boated to Magic Kingdom just in time for the parade, then saw Wishes without having to watch it through a camera lens or on a LCD screen. =] They are beautiful fireworks. We then went on Buzz, which was a fix of course. You shoot nothing and get 75,000 points. I was sleepy, so we went and watched the Philharmagic show, which is totally Hilarious! Then we got Extra Magic Hours wristbands and went on the scariest ride in the whole of Disney - It’s A Small World. Oh God that ride is SCARY. I think it’s thought up by someone on an acid trip! Ha! After that we were too sleepy, so we went a wander and then went home about 12.
Monday 9th October 2006 Happy Columbus day. No idea what that’s all about, some daft American thing. What does it mean for us? Parks are busy. Urg. We lied in this morning ‘til 9ish and then Nicole called and we arranged to meet at Studios. We went to Blizzard beach today, because we guessed that all the Columbus people would want to go to MK for their day off, and we were right - BB was pretty quiet. I don’t really have much to blog about BB, we spent the morning lounging about doing nothing, on the river, in the pool. Sunbathing and eyeing up any tastiness. ;] We went back to the hotel and then practically went right back out to Studios for dinner at Hollywood & Vine. It’s another “troughing” place - our new word for fat Americans eating 40 plates of random food. It’s quite gross. One guy, he was already there when we got there, he was eating a plate of salad, and when we left, he had gotten through 8 plaatefuls and was now on a plate of prawns. The worrying thing is - all the stuff he had eaten was in the “starters” area! He hadn’t even got to the main course. Urgh!!! After that, we went and met up with Nicole, and we went off together and we did Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, then Tower of Terror again. Was pretty damn amazing! We were at the back on RnR and its soooo cool! When you go up the loops, you can see the rest of the coaster above you. Quote of the day? Nicole on ToT, we were sitting next to a random guy, and Nicole goes “excuse me, can I just grab on?” pointing to the handle, which could easily have been mistaken for his crotch. LOL! After meeting the parents back, we arranged to go to IOA together on Wednesday, which should be fun. Then we left them and went to go on the Great Movie Ride. It’s pretty boring. Wooo a little car that goes at 2mph through “the movies”. Heh. After that we watched Muppets and then were sleepy, so decided to go on Startours to wake us up a little. Didn’t really work, so Mum and I rode ToT, was pretty good. I love how people that haven’t ridden before are like “oh my Gawd this is it” at totally the wrong moments. We were high after that! So we rode RnR and came back to find Ben and Dad asleep. So we called it a day as the park was closing. It’s 1:45. We’re to be at IOA for 8:30 opening tomorrow, which means getting up around 6:30. Wish me luck! Goodnight! Tuesday 10th October 2006 Hmmm okay so we were up at 7ish. Slightly behind schedule. We went to Islands of Adventure, and were there for 9. Woo… Mum and I went on Spiderman first, it was real quiet again. No wait, woo! Spiderman was of course, amazing. After saving the world avec the all-sexy tight-lycra SPIDERMAN, we decided it was time to get WET. No, no nothing dirty. Mum and I went on Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges. Twice. There was no wait, so we got right on. Of course got soaked. Dad and Ben were up on the boat soaking us with the water guns. I was freezing, but I was sensible and brought spare pants. After drying off a little and shooting some other folk from the boat, we headed for an early lunch at Burger Digs. But before that, I made a real effort to get Mum to go on either Hulk or Dueling Dragons. But she’s convinced she’s gonna die on them. Oh really? After lunch we went to see that Mystic fountain thing that talks. You know… You tell Dad that it’s a talking fountain and he goes up to it, says “Oh, it’s not a talking fountain,” and gets soaked. It’s like a webcam inside the fountain that listens and watches people and squirts whoever it feels like squirting. It’s hilarious seeing as most people don’t believe it’s a talking fountain. Then we watched the Sindbad stunt show, but the funnyness of that was Dad. Know those Goldfish cheese crisps? Well Dad decided he was opening them, and I don’t know what the heck happened, but one minute everything was fine, next minute there was Goldfish exploding in all directions. Evidently my Father hasn’t mastered the art of opening crisps. It was effing hilarious! The show was also quite good btw. After the show we wandered round to Seuss Landing for some acid-trip-type-randomness. By that I mean it’s mostly thought up by someone who is CLEARLY on something!!!!! Cat In The Hat was first - hilarious as usual. I think it’s actually a scary ride. I mean talking fish and machines with 435739457349573 arms. Scary stuff. Then One Fish Two Fish. A round-in-circles ride where you can move up and down while going round by using a lever. But - the catch is - you gotta do what the silly song says, or you get WET. Of course my Mother takes charge of this lever and I get soaked. Fun though. After that, Carou-seuss-ell. A carousel where you hump random made-up animals (are they animals?!) rather than the regular horses you get on carousels. I don’t have a clue what I was “riding” but it had wings, orange hair, four feet and a scary crazed grin on a purple beak. We had had enough by that time, and headed out, via the box office to get tickets. OMG I have PWT’s tickets! OMGOMGOMG. I actually can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to K-Mart on the way home. My Dad insists on calling K-Mart “the quick-ee mart,” out of the Simpsons? Gettit? No? We were supposed to be having a little chill time at the hotel, but we spent like an hour and a half in K-Mart, so pretty much just got changed and went back out. To Epcot. Oh, and Dave - Dad and Ben say thanks for the penny! It’s getting a special place in the “special pennies” collection book. At Epcot we were doing the half of the world that we never got round the other day. Starting with Italy, then Germany, Scandanavia, USA, China. Ack I can’t even remember! We had food or drink from every country until we were sick basically. Favourite food? The pork thing from Norway. Favourite drink? The wine from Italy, oh, or the coffee from Italy. Tastiest overall? The Italian guys… Mmm… I love the accent. I was disappointed at Australia as all the CM’s were American! Where the hell are all the sexy Aussies?! After that, we headed out just as Illumination were starting, so we could get a bus. Easy! Got right on! Everyone else was busy watching the show. We’re back at the hotel now at 9.30pm and we’re going to bed as we have a few late nights coming up. Tomorrow is the Horror Night at Universal, next night is PWT’s and the next is EMH’s at Epcot. I’m meeting Cole tomorrow and taking her on the Hulk. Hehehe. Should be fun! Goodnight! Wednesday 11th October 2006 We were up pretty early this morning and arranged to meet Nicole at Islands of Adventure. We both ended up being late and meeting each other running to the meeting spot worrying about being late. Her parents agreed to let me steal her for the whole day, and also persuaded her to come to the Halloween Horror Night. Cole and I split off from the paretns and I persuded her to go on the Hulk. She loved it! So we rode again. Then we rode Dr Doom, which I was too scared to go on before, but I was persuaded. Loved it! It’s one of those rides that shoots you up 150 feet then drops you. You do get a pretty good view! After that we were going to go on Spiderman, but didn’t want to wait 20 minutes, so we went to do Dueling Dragons. We rode both, with no wait! And we decided Ice is more scary, but Fire hurts your head more. After that we went back round towards Hulk, doing Cat In The Hat on the way. After doing Hulk again we did Spiderman, which was funny as Nicole hated 3D things. So we were screaming like little girls. Hah. We had one last ride on Dr Doom before meeting my parents again for lunch. We lunched at Mels, burgers again. (Don’t you Americans get sick of burgers?) After lunch we watched the Horror Make Up Show which shows you how to create all the blood and guts you see in movies. We rode Back To The Future for one very last time. It’s definetly being closed next month! Noooo…. And after that, the park closed for those who weren’t going to the Horror Night. So we had to go in this “holding area” which just so happened to be right outside The Mummy, so Cole and I rode that and screamed like girls! When we got “let out” of the holding area, we went to the greeting area where we were greeted by this devil type creature who was horrible. We went to get a photo with him and he hollered “do I scare you?!“ in our ears. Horrible. After escaping that we headed for the first house. The houses are like these dark scary bits with characters jumping out on you and it’s terrifying! The first one was called Psychoscareapy and was inhabited by Jack, know the crazy mental guy? Him. And his crazed mentally ill friends. It was truly horrible. We went in and Jack was there behind bars, and that terrified us, then we go round the corner and he’s out of bars chasing us. We walked round a little and went in another house, this one was called Dungeon of Terror and I really honestly don’t know what it was all about as I had my eyes shut most of the time. We though Jaws would be a safe option after that, and it was okay I guess. Then we headed to see Bill & Teds show, which was apparently full. Full meaning no more wheelchair spaces, and what does that actually mean? That there’s a bunch of drunks who’ve hired a wheelchair. We rode Men In Black, and had to argue with the attendant AGAIN because he was convinced Ben couldn’t ride. We had all this last year and we wrote to Universal who wrote back telling us that we COULD ride with Ben and the attandcant that told us no would be sacked. We got free VIP passes. I guess we’re getting more. And that dude shall also be sacked. After that fiasco, we went to wait an HOUR for the next showing of Bill & Ted’s, to ensure we got a seat. The attandant there was great and kept us well occupied while we waited. The show, when we did eventually get into it, was pretty confusing. It was a piss-take of cartoon characters really. Superman was gay, and was HILARIUS and there was the monk guy from the Da Vinci Code. After the show the monk came to speak to us, and got out gay Superman for a wee photo. Quote of the day? Nicole again, “Superman, can I see your thong?” After that hilarity, we decided it was time for more scares, so we went through this “scare zone” where there were killer pumpkin things. One came right up to Cole and I, so we ran, and another one came at us. So we ran. Then this little squeaky thing came running. So we just shut our eyes and ran like hell. Screaming like fuck the whole time of course. Apparently everyone was laughing at us being so scared. We did more houses, until we scared Nicole shitless and she and Mum stood outside for the last few while Ben, Dad and I went in. In one, there was this guy who had a big beard and it was all covered in blood and guts and he had an axe. I will never get his face out of my head. I screamed most of the night. We escaped at about midnight and did get home safely, although I couldn’t sleep because I thought Jack was coming to get me. Thursday 12th October 2006 This morning we were up at 6. Although I never got to sleep til around 4. I was way too tired. We ate breakfast of cheesecake. Then went for lunch at 11am at the Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. I was tired, had no voice and had a headache. Then it rainied. So we decided to go back to the hotel rather than doing the planned Typhoon Lagoon. I was sleepy, so thought I’d have a wee snooze, and ended up sleeping ‘til 5. At 5 though, we went out to Universal to Hard Rock Live to the highlight of my holiday - Plain White T’s. We got there at 6 and found our seats. WE had AMAZING seats. Like up on the balcony with a perfect view. At table service drinks. The gig started at like 7 with The Sleeping, who were not bad,but not good. Then Tom comes on stage and I think I went a little crazy! The Plain White T’s played 7 songs total, Our Time Now, Hate, You and Me and from their new album, Breakdown and Revenge from the album All That We Needed, and of course Hey There Delilah. Absolutley AMAZING!!!!!!!! They sound more amazing live than they do recorded. After they played, I went to buy a t-shirt, and who should I meet but Mike, one of the guitar players!!!! He signed my arm and we got a photo, then I see De’Marr and have to have his autograph and a photo too, and just as I think my excitement has reached a point where it might actually burst, Tom pops up and wants a hug! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! He of course signed me too and posed for a few pics, he was amazed that I’d come from Scotland to see him. He’s such an amazing guy, we spoke to him for a while, I bought my t-shirt and then went back to my seat to drool over my arm. I’m never gonna have a shower ever again. I met Tom. HE SIGNED MY ARM! HE ASKED ME FOR A HUG! OMFG! I think I might die of sheer amazement. AHH! I love you Tom! You are all amazing and I will DEFINETLY be seeing you guys again. I promise! Anyway, after all that, we caught the end of Emery, who were okay, despite the fact I don’t know many of their songs. Next up was Relient K, who I hadn’t heard of beforehand, but they’re very like Busted or McFly but more hardcore I think. They were good! The crowd seemed to love them too, so they must be big over here. Then the main act - Hawthorne Heights. These guys were also amazing! They played about 10 songs and had the crowd crazy! We went and met the other bands and finally got home around 1 and I cant’ sleep because I’m so crazed over the fact I met Tom. He’s such a nice guy! I think I’m in love.. Goodnight. Kisses to Tom. =] 10/4/2006 McFlyOmg. It's 1 day.
I was a tad hyper today. One because of Florida,
and two because McFly was tonight! I was hyper in computing, and pissed people
off, but oh well. I was somewhat more composed by chemistry though. And Mr J
demonstrated yet again that he has next to no understanding of first year maths.
Talking of maths, in that smelly classroom, Nicole
and I spent our period working out the exchange rate for US dollars. It's 1.89
apparently, but the PO are giving only 1.80. Boo. I think the teacher let us off
with not doing work seeing as we were doing something remotely mathematical.
=]
PSE was pointless. And English was boring, note
taking, no doubt for another essay. Boooo! And I need to write this
characterisation one for tomorrow.
Okay, so onto the exciting part - McFly! I went
with Hannah, and we got the train in, and got there quite early and we had like
amazing seats! Know how in the SECC it's got flat seating, then teired seating?
Well we were right in the centre of the teirs, so got a fantastic view! The
supports were Nylon and The Click Five - both very good! Then there was a
massive break, then the boys came on. I won't bore you with a commentry of every
song, but they were pretty damn amazing!
After the show, we went home (well duh) and
got home about 11.30 I think. Sleepy. And I'm off to do English essays. Ack. I
give in. I really do. 10/3/2006 I'm too tiredHe's keeping me up... But I'm going to sleep now.
Today was okay. Computing was pretty boring, I didn't actually do anything. =]
Biology, meh, I have so much work to do in Florida for Biology. And a NAB first day back! That's gotta suck. I also have an English NAB that day too. (A NAB is a unit test that you must pass to be able to be allowed to sit the final exam)
English was also shite, and maths. Meh. We didn't even get the test results back.
2 days. 10/1/2006 Sidetracked.I fell asleep hugging my laptop last night.
I don't know what time I woke up at this morning,
but it was late, and I was packing some more stuff for Florida and writing lists
of things I need to pack at last minute. And I was going to do the English
essay, but I didn't, for the simple reason - I don't have to.
So I spent the day getting sidetracked with forums,
blogs, photographs, you name it. And just randomly doing nothing very
constructive. And I have to mention Joe here, one because I've been talking to
him for 10 hours today and two because he bought me a present and three because
he will be very happy to read his name here! So there you go Joe! This bit's for
you!
I'll get up early and do the maths homework. Okay I
probably won't. But I like to kid myself. =]
Goodnight. <3 Complete ControlToday I was full of good intentions to do homework, but of course that got put off in favour of packing for Florida. Guys, seriously, it's only 5 days now. I can't wait. So I've packed, well, almost. And there's a Halloween party on at both Disney and Universal and at the Disney one, guests are encouraged to dress up. So us being the Disney freaks that we are, are dressing up. Dad and Ben aren't that into it and are both going as some kind of scary half-dead affair. Mum is going as... Wait for this... Spiderwoman! (Yes this is a woman who is terrified of spiders!) And myself, I'm going as some kind of devil come hooker type thing. It's really not attractive.
Dad was working today, but he came home early so we could go shopping, so we went to Braehead. I got... A biology book! And a few other bits and bobs. Fun fun, what was quite funny was when Dad attempted to go UP the DOWN escalator. Because he was so keen to get out and go home that he was dashing down the escalator, and then we mentioned McDonald's just as he stepped on the escalator, and I assume he thought McD's was better than going home, so without thinking he made an about-turn on the escalator and tried to go back up it. XD
The rest of the shopping was done by Mother and I, after we ditched the men outside McDonald's. I just have to say two words - "Complete Control" and noone except my mother will know what the hell I am talking about. I'll give you a clue - knickers!
Came home and was going to do the homework, but somehow got sidetracked having a "computer meeting" with Mum. She's taken possession of the laptop and now comes through to my room to sit and do whatever she does, seeing as Dad appears to have taken over the shitty 256 desktop that's slowly dying. Haha. More fool him. So actually, yes, there was a point this evening when everyone was on a computer. Ben was watching a DVD on his computer, Dad doing the finances, Mum sorting holiday stuff and me doing... Well nothing constructive really.
Ack I'm rambling again. Shall I shut up and go to bed? I think so... I'll homework tomorrow. I promise. |
