Well that’s me finished second year, I’m now off (save for a few exams in May) right up until September. Woo! Although May seems an awful long time away seeing as it’s not even April yet, I am being the ever-studious being and making sure I’m all up to date with my notes. And it’s there I strike my first problem. I have attended about 5 out of 20 neuroscience lectures. And as for Molecules of Life; I have been once. So after spending the whole weekend at work as usual, I vow to get all my notes copied up by next weekend. And I realise I am being over-ambitious with that, so lets make it the weekend after. Then I have a full 3 weeks to actually study.

However all this may go to pot as we have decided to paint. We’re going to paint the kitchen, hall and bathroom as they are a bit scabby looking and got sort of overlooked due to lack of funds when we were painting the rest of the place. We have also looked into getting double glazing so we called the contractor who did the rest of the windows in the block and he gave us a quick estimate over the phone of £3500 however when it came to getting a written quotation, it was suddenly £7900 so we’re giving that idea a miss. Instead we shall spend many tedious hours sanding, filling and painting our existing vintage windows from the 1950’s.

So as we’re not spending half our life savings on windows; we may be going on holiday. That’s IF I can get time off work. Apparently I can’t have a weekend off until December. So we’ll just have to see. We’ve been looking at Salou, purely because Jamie’s been before and it sounds like a pretty well-balanced holiday. There’s loads of stuff to do, yet there’s lovely beaches and sun for sitting doing nothing.
